What it replaces
HouseHQ is built for real household flow: a dinner plan creates groceries, groceries become receipts, receipts update budgets, and the daily digest tells everyone what needs attention.
Calendar, chores, meals, reminders, and the daily digest in one household view.
Budgets, receipt capture, transaction review, category targets, and spending context.
Markdown exports, notes, decisions, and the trail of what the household already handled.
Money without the spreadsheet fog
Bank feeds tell you where money went. HouseHQ is being built to explain what happened next: the receipt, the categories, the budget impact, and the conversation your household needs to have.
Trust comes first
HouseHQ is built for clarity and review, not automation that runs ahead of you. The product should help your family understand spending without pretending to be a bank, bill-pay service, or financial advisor.
HouseHQ does not transfer money, pay bills, move funds, or make financial decisions for your household.
Current money tools are manual, receipt-based, or statement import. Future bank linking would use a trusted provider.
Statement rows are checked before they become transactions, and imported activity lands in Review before approval.
No. HouseHQ is household budgeting support: organizing spending, receipts, categories, and family money conversations.
HouseHQ reads the file in the app, shows the rows it found, flags likely duplicates, and waits for you to save selected rows.
No. HouseHQ does not ask for bank usernames or passwords. Bank linking is future and optional.
HouseHQ is in private beta. It is useful for real testing, but early testers should expect careful review and occasional rough edges.
Built in layers
A shared place for the everyday logistics every household has to keep moving.
A practical budget layer for transaction review, receipts, and monthly targets.
Deeper receipt and spending intelligence for families who want more detail.
